Meet Elizabeth Marie Urbanik.

Our baby girl is here! : ) Ellie was born September 2, 2011 at 3:45 p.m. She was 8 lb 8 oz (which we still cannot get over since she was 3 weeks early!) and 20 inches long. To catch everyone up to date, Ellie's due date was September 21st. Her C-section was set for September 16th. Everything was planned out and we thought that Ellie's birthday wasn't going to be as hectic as Will's birthday.. . boy were we wrong! It started in August (34 weeks along), when Mommy was sent to the hospital after having a minor accident with a chair. Well, the chair won and our doctor (we happened to be on our way to see him when this occured) sent us to Hurley to be observed for 4-6 hours. Sadly, the 4-6 hours turned into 24 hours because Mommy was having contractions every 3 to 4 minutes and the doctors and nurses said that our sweet angel might have to be delivered that day. We knew that was not an option and Ellie was not ready to be born yet.  Luckily enough, we were right. However, the contractions never stopped so Mommy had the luxury and pleasure of feeling these contractions for the next three weeks. The night before Sept. 2nd, the contractions were starting to come on stronger and we had a feeling that it could be the time, but we had our weekly doctor’s appointment in the morning so we decided to hear what the doc had to say first! Sure enough, Mommy had progressed enough for Ellie to be delivered that day. He said the C-section would have to be later in the afternoon so we had plenty of time to find someone to watch Big Brother Will and get our belongings together before we headed to Hurley. Well, by the time we arrived in triage, Mommy was already dilated to 5 cm and our doctor had to call for an emergency C-section. So we never had the opportunity to go to labor & delivery, we just went from triage to the operating room and Ellie arrived just a short time after that. We feel extremely blessed to have such a beautiful baby girl (with red hair) in our lives. Ellie, when you read this someday in your baby book, we want you to  know how much you are loved and we will never forget how we felt that day. Our dreams came true the days you and your big brother came into our lives and we are so thankful for that. You and Will are the best presents we could ever receive from God and we cannot wait to see you grow up.  <3
