So, here we go....
On May 27th, Will attended MHSAA District Tournament at Oxford Hills Golf Course. GB took 1st (yay!). And he pretty much slept the entire time we were there.
On June 4th, Will attended MHSAA Regional Tournament at Flushing Valley Country Club. GB took 1st again after a 10-man sudden death play-off. It was the first time anyone could remember having to use this tie breaker.
Will was actually awake when we arrived!
This was Will when I told him about the exciting play-off...
Ok, now, on June 12th, Will attended MHSAA State Finals at Forest Akers East Golf Course at the lovely Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. :) Will and Mommy left pretty early in the day so that she could show him all around his future school and hoping for a Tom Izzo siting (this was the day he was supposed to make his first announcement). We arrived at the Sparty statue for a photo op, Mommy pulls the camera out of the bag, and the lens is broken....yes.... broken... of all the days. So, I'm sorry to tell you that we have NO pictures of MSU (which I'm sure is a good thing for all you maize and blue people). Well, when we got to the course, Mommy put her wise Spartan head to good use and decided to take pictures with her phone. She got GREAT photos of Will with Daddy. Well, to make a long story not any longer than what it already is.... we lost ALL of those photos. I know, I know.... major bummer dude. Anyways, GB didn't win, but they took 4th after coming back from 11th place in Round 1. Huge comeback! I guess we will have to remember that day in our hearts and not in pictures.
Now that golf season was over, it was finally time to take Will to see where Daddy worked & where Mommy went to school. So on June 15th, Will went to Grand Blanc High School.
Sitting at Daddy's desk
Getting a feel of what it's like to be a student
"I know... D-Day happened on June 6, 1944 and it was the turning point of the War in Europe."
I don't think he is quite ready yet. Maybe, when he can see over the desk.
Mommy used to sit in these desks when she was younger.
On June 20th, we celebrated Daddy's first Father's Day!! We started the day out by just quiet family time at home and then ate at Nana & Papa Harris's with family followed by spending quality family time at Grammy & Grampy Urbanik's. Overall, it was a fun-filled day and we hope Daddy had the best time. Happy Father's Day!! We love you to the moon and back!
In the mornings, I wake up, go in Will's room, and he is usually all smiles looking refreshed ready for another day. Well not this time... I went in there a couple of mornings ago and he looked rough. I mean this little guy looked like he had a major hangover. These pictures don't even compare to what he looked like in person. His hair was a mess, eyes were red and droopy. Made me realize that we are in some serious need of a vacation and it's a good thing we leave tomorrow morning! Mickey Mouse, here we come!
Happy Summer everyone!
